Dam break through an elastic gate

  • Simulation of a dam break through an elastic gate
  • The PFEM (Particle-FEM) with a PSPG formulation is used to simulate the water
  • The gate is modeld using an hyperelastic Mooney-Rivlin model
  • The coupling is managed by CUPyDO, a general framework for fluid-structure interaction simulation
  • Results are compared to the the experimental measures of Antoci et al. (2007).
