Idealized bird impact against a cantilever using PFEM (LS-Dyna example)
- Simulation of a bird strike against a cantilever
- The PFEM (Particle-FEM) with a PSPG formulation is used to simulate the bird
- The coupling is managed by CUPyDO, a general framework for fluid-structure interaction simulation
- Results are compared to the those obtained with LS-Dyna (http://www.dynaexamples.com/ale/bird/bird-b).
